History of Gram Car Carriers AS

P. D. Gram & Co AS started with car carrier operations close to 30 years ago by acquiring the PCC “Trigger”, a 3,300 capacity pure car carrier built in 1974. Several other car carriers were bought in the 80’s and 90’s and chartered out to the main car carrier operators. The group started a major expansion program particularly in 2007, after Karl Terjesen joined the company, consisting of a series of 6 midsize (4,200 units) PCTC’s in China and 4 advanced distribution ships (2,000 units) in Japan.
