Business model

Gram Car Carriers A/S is the commercial managers of PCTC vessels which are time chartered to the main operators in the car carrier business. We provide a modern, reliable and efficient fleet, with various vessels sizes to suit all aspects of the trade.

Highly advanced feeder vessels

Four of the feeder PCTC's were built at the Kyokuyo Shipyard in Shimonoseki, Japan and were delivered during 2009 and 2010. They operate mainly in European or Carribean trades. The vessels are managed by OSM Ship Management from their Singapore office, carrying Singapore Flag. The vessels have a LOA = 139.99m and Beam = 22.40m and incorporate twin medium speed engines with CPP and shaft generator. They have one hoistable deck for high and heavy cargo. Capacity is about 2000 cars. We also operate one feeder vessel of about 1000 cars built in 1996 and she is presently operated in Carribean trades where there is substantial limitations on draft and port sizes.

Medium size vessels

We have built a series of six midsize vessels at Nantong Heavy Indusries in China delivered between 2010 and 2012. The vessels are designed for worldwide trading and are being managed by OSM Ship Management, Singapore. The vessels have a LOA = 167.25m, Beam = 27.99m and have cargo carrying capacity of about 4200 cars. The vessels incorporate the latest technical equipment which includes the HHI built MAN B&W MC-E main engine and the cargo space is built to hinge design principle incorporating single pillar support in the car decks thereby allowing maximized cargo carrying capability. The vessels meet the new damage stability requirements and have ‘Clean’ Notation. We also operate one 3500 cars capacity vessel built in 2000 and two 5000 cars capacity vessels built in 2010. The mid size vessels are normally involved in Inter European or Inter Asian trades.
